Dive into two different eras united in one building: the castles of Bourdeilles. This majestic building is classified as a historical monument and a major site in Aquitaine. Built on a rocky outcrop and overlooking the Dronne river, the first castle of Bourdeilles was built around the 13th century. This medieval fortress has a high keep with a breathtaking view of the surrounding countryside. The Renaissance palace was built three centuries later and houses a huge collection of period furniture.

Enjoy animations in the castle, guided tours and theatrical night visits to discover these buildings of the city of Bourdeilles, one of the four baronies of the Périgord. For the little ones, the castle offers a book of riddles for a fun visit. You can also learn calligraphy or create your own medieval coat of arms. A new feature: at certain times, you can take part in an escape game inside the castle itself!

To get to the castles of Bourdeilles from your campsite Le Repaire, nothing could be easier. Bourdeilles is located a few kilometers after the town of Brantôme in Périgord. On your way, take the opportunity to stop for a few moments in this magnificent city which also has a superb castle: the Abbey of Brantôme. Thiviers and Bourdeilles are about 35 minutes away by car.
